Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Buildmerce handles information submitted through this website and its WooCommerce service-request flow.
Who we are
Buildmerce provides WooCommerce website development, StoreCheck reviews, technical fixes, tracking setup, performance and checkout optimization, WordPress support, and ecommerce growth support.
Information we collect
When you send an inquiry or submit a service request, we may collect the information you choose to provide, including your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, business name, existing website URL, preferred contact method, the service you are interested in, and your notes or requirements.
WooCommerce also creates a service-order record containing the selected service, price, order status, submission date, and the contact and project details entered at checkout. The current checkout records a request for review and uses the “Service Confirmation / Pay After Discussion” method; it does not collect an online payment.
Please do not submit passwords, private customer records, payment-card information, or other confidential credentials through the forms on this site.
How we use information
We use submitted information to review and respond to inquiries, assess requested work, communicate about scope and next steps, administer service orders, maintain business and support records, prevent abuse, and operate and improve the site.
Cookies and basic site functionality
The site may use cookies or similar browser storage that WordPress, WooCommerce, the hosting environment, or security and session features require for basic operation. These can support functions such as maintaining a shopping cart, checkout flow, login session, preferences, and site security.
Buildmerce does not currently state that optional advertising or analytics tracking is active on this site. If optional analytics, advertising pixels, or similar tracking is enabled later, this policy and any required consent controls should be updated before that tracking is used.
Service providers and website platform
The website uses WordPress and WooCommerce and is hosted through Hostinger. These providers may process limited technical or service data as needed to host, secure, deliver, and operate the website and service-order functionality. Their handling of information is also governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to operate the requested service, comply with a lawful obligation, protect the site or its users, or work with a provider supporting the site or the agreed service. We do not describe a provider as receiving your data unless its role actually requires it.
Data retention
Inquiry messages and service-order records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, administer the request, provide support, maintain appropriate business or accounting records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet applicable obligations. Retention periods may vary according to the nature and status of the request. Information that is no longer reasonably required should be deleted or anonymized where appropriate.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information handled through the site. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure, so only information needed for the inquiry or service request should be submitted.
Your choices and rights
You may ask Buildmerce to confirm, correct, update, or delete personal information you have submitted, subject to information we need to retain for legitimate business, security, accounting, dispute-resolution, or legal reasons. You may also ask questions about how your information is handled.
How to contact us
Until the final public business email and social contact details are verified, privacy questions or requests can be sent through the Buildmerce contact form. Published contact details on that page may also be used once they are verified.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website, service flow, providers, or data practices change. The current version will be published on this page.
